The task
The customer approached us with the problem of incorrect stock levels. The actual situation was characterized by significant discrepancies between systemic and physical inventories as well as incomplete communication in the warehouse. There was a threat of compensation payments for missing material, incorrect compliance with FIFO and delayed outgoing goods.
Our solution
We carried out a comprehensive analysis of the data and hall processes in order to identify all sources of error. These were eliminated through targeted employee training and adjustments to the ERP system. In addition, we developed and implemented a tracking method for systemic excess stock.
Advantages for the customer
With the traceability method introduced, the systemic excess stock of over 1,000 storage units was reduced to less than 100. This saved the customer a six-figure sum in potential compensation payments.
The troubleshooting measures and the effective KPI management implemented ensure that these problems do not occur again in the future.

The task
The client required a detailed analysis of its operations by external experts. It was suspected that there might be inefficiencies in the transshipment hall that were affecting both the long-distance and, in particular, the local transport business.
Our solution
We used the Methods-Time Measurement (MTM) method to analyze and break down the hall processes in detail. We also conducted interviews with a large proportion of the workforce and the drivers. The data collected was carefully prepared and put in relation to each other.
Advantages for the customer
We were able to directly show the customer inefficiencies in personnel planning, loss of speed in handling due to outdated technology and capacity bottlenecks due to the suboptimal arrangement of the relocation stations in the hall. We are currently working with the customer to eliminate these inefficiencies.

The task
This customer had worked continuously on optimizing its logistics in the past and was already very well positioned in terms of both technology and processes. The aim was to identify potential blind spots with the help of external consultants.
Our solution
Through targeted observation and analysis of the processes, we quickly identified the customer's picking strategy as a potential bottleneck. The employees could choose between two picking methods, one of which offered ergonomic advantages and the other time advantages.
Advantages for the customer
We recommended that the customer standardize the picking process and supported them in developing a new picking cart that combines the ergonomic and time-saving advantages of the previous solutions. In addition, the customer received a comprehensive evaluation of its picking profiles and previous optimizations.

The task
Our customer was pursuing the goal of offering cardboard products in a closed-loop system. The planned business model, different location concepts and the purchase of new machines had to be evaluated in order to make a well-founded and target-oriented decision.
Our solution
Based on the information provided by the customer and the results of detailed research, we drew up a comprehensive profitability calculation and developed the optimum location concept. In addition, we drew up a specification sheet for the required machines and conducted negotiations with potential manufacturers.
Advantages for the customer
Our customer was able to delegate almost the entire project content to us, allowing them to concentrate on other important projects. The collaboration created synergies on both sides, which served as the basis for the successful implementation of the closed-loop system.

The task
The client commissioned us to clarify discrepancies between system-based and physical inventories. In addition, the employees' specialist knowledge was to be expanded in order to ensure error-free work processes in the long term.
Our solution
We identified and corrected the errors both at a physical level and in the SAP system. We also gave employees a deeper understanding of the sources of errors and their effects within the entire process chain.
Advantages for the customer
Once the project was completed, the processes became faster and significantly more reliable. The customer benefited from a considerable reduction in costs, while the employees benefited from improved job security.
